Essex Conference 2012 will this year be hosted by Harlow Division. The venue is The Stewards Academy, Parnall Road, Harlow CM18 7NQ. The date is Saturday 10th November 2012. Cost £20
At the AGM it was announced that Dr Bethel Solomons had died. He was a member for over 50 years. Mrs Josie Motton passed away at Christmas. She made teas at divisional meetings for many years. We send our condolences to both the families
The year 2011 was labelled as having a mild early Spring. The OSR produced little, followed by a dry Summer where most colonies produced little and then a long mild Autumn. Not a very good year all told, some colonies have little stores.

Subscriptions are now due for your membership which commences January 2012. Single membership £31.50 (up from £30), Joint membership £50.00 (up from £48) & Associate membership is still £5

Members who would like to study basic beekeeping are invited to contact me. The basic is a practical exam held during the summer; Module 1 is a written exam held in March and September.
